Terms of Service

Effective 2026-05-09

Budgie is a free, open-source budgeting tool that runs entirely in your browser and stores data in your own Google Sheet. Use of the app is governed by these terms.

Use of the service

Your data

Budgie doesn't store your data — it lives in your Google Sheet. You own it, you control it, you can delete it at any time from Google Drive. See our Privacy Policy for details.

No warranty

Budgie is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The app is a convenience layer over Google Sheets; it doesn't replace bookkeeping software and shouldn't be relied on for tax, legal, or financial advice. Bugs may cause incorrect math or data loss — back up important sheets manually if that risk matters to you.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors of Budgie will not be liable for any damages arising from use of the app, including (without limitation) loss of data, missed budgets, or financial decisions made based on what the dashboard shows.

Changes

Budgie is open-source and evolves quickly. These terms can change; if they materially do, the "Effective" date above will update. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
